Thirty7s Custom Apparel

Got too many T Shirts?
Want to pick up a super unique, custom holiday gift?

I’ve been working with Thirty7s Custom Apparel.

thirty7slogo

They offer 100% custom clothing.
You can supply everything, or you can pick from his stock of race shirts, race patches, custom text patches (hashtags and nicknames!).

They slice, dice and sew things back up in anyway you want, or you let them figure it out.

Hats, shirts, baby stuff, jackets, hoodies – if you can imagine it, they can do it.

img_2794I’m sending in an NES jacket, with some NES, #racelocal and OCRWC qualifier shirts – and leaving it in their hands – it’ll run around $100 and I can’t wait to see the results.

Prices are super reasonable for the work involved – especially if you’re sending your own stuff in – AND because you’re a New England Spahtens community member, discounts are available through November. 10% off if you’re doing something big, like a jacket. 15% off if you’re doing something smaller, like a beanie or hat.

This is a 100% custom piece – every order will be priced differently based on needs.

How do you order?
Contact them through their website!

Make sure you let them know you’re a New England Spahten – grab something in time for the holidays!

Renegade Run, 2013

Type One LLC’s first Renegade Run was a fun event in late 2012, and gave us a fun short race, with a nice heated tent and plenty of food – a really neat way to finish up the race calendar.

Hoppin Mad Mud Run – Spahten discount!

554334_417012804984251_206549266_n-300x197

Heat Event Management are an Amesbury, MA based company that puts on some really fun events – everything from trail runs and triathlons, to beer tasting and farmers markets.

Sunday, May 19th, they will be hosting their fourth annual Hoppin’ Mad Mud Run – and were kind enough to give the Spahtens a 20% discount on pre-registration race entry.

The Hoppin’ Mad Mud Run is a 10k or 20k foot race, that finishes with 3 miles of obstacles – I’ve run it over the past two years, and they do a great job – I’ve always had a ton of fun.

So – if you want to take part in this – decide if you want to run 10k or 20k. 10k runners can run solo, or create two or five person teams. 20k runners have to run solo. Regardless, wear your NE Spahten drill shirt, and represent in our own back yard!

To get your discount, fill out one of these forms, and mail them with a personal check to:

Hero Rush is coming

Hero Rush Logo

Hero Rush Logo

I hear that the Ladies like the Firemen. I hear that the Firemen like the challenge? I also hear that Hero Rush is an awesome 5k obstacle race, and that in 2013 they’ll be coming to New England.

Thats pretty damned cool enough.

Whats even more awesome? We are taking part in their memorial 343 heat at 11am. This will honor the 343 fallen firefighters from 9/11, and the extra $10 it costs will be donated to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.

Want in? Get registration information right here:

Oh, and a 15% coupon, just for being a member of New England’s best race team – use coupon:

Obstacle Course Racing Training Center – VT

Based in Beson VT, the OCRTC is a permanent obstacle course training center, about 3 hours out of central MA – and they host everything from OCR’s, to tri’s and other races too – they are based on 150 acres, they have 35 obstacles – and they mean business – for 2013, there will be a 4 race series bringing in cash prizes and points for the super competitive folks out there!

Next January, they are hosting the Polar Bear Challenge … this looks interesting – an 8 hour endurance event, in the cold and ice of Vermont winter! The event will be a competitive race, for loops of their course. Food and drink will be provided, as well as a heated barn for folks to hang out, play games … ┬ácheck them out:

http://www.shalehilladventure.com/obstacle-adventure-training–racing.html

Even better – when you sign up, tell them that you are a member of the NE Spahtens, and you’ll get a refund of $5 in your packet at pick up – how nice is that!

Like I said, these folks mean business – they offer training and a ton of other out door activities – on top of the OCR specific stuff – watch their calendar for exciting stuff in 2013!
